1993 Voyager with intermittent starting problem

When trying to start sometimes I won't even get a click from a relay, engine will not turn over. I remove the power from the battery and when I restore power, it starts fine. A few days later the same thing happens. I replaced the starter replay, and cutoff relay. Still the problem persists. When this problem is present there is no power drain, hence the light won't even dim when trying to start. Remove the power, restore and it starts. Has anyone else had this problem? Can you suggest anything?

We have a 98 plymouth grand voyager 3.0 and are experiencing the same problem. It is very intermittent and does not seem to be the battery. We get a click when you turn the key. If you keep trying it eventually catches and starts with no problem. That is why I am on this forum, trying to find a solution.

Raulandclaudia- also replace the fuel pump relay.

Wefixem-Next time it happens, tap on the starter with a hammer while someone holds the key in the crank position. Sounds light a starter problem.

Also check all cable connections going to the starter, ground and battery for any sign of green, corrosion or looseness.

There are reveral connectors leading from the battery (+) positive side. Unplug all and clean, spray with contact cleaner & WD40 and re-seat the connectors.
