1993 Civic plugwires

1993 civic dx 1.5 could somebody tell me symptoms of bad spark plug wires please.

Obviously they can vary. For instance, the extreme is that the plug will not fire, no spark. The other is the wires are perfect and everything works great. In between are a few other things too. A weak wire could cause the car to buck or run rougher at acceration from a stop but seem to run smoothly at a higher rpm.

Any suspect on the wires and I would replace them. Could pay big dividends.

Would it cause a low rough idle and a major loss of power example having to be in at least second gear to climb a moderate hill.

Yes it can do that. It causes the timing to not be right. The car could run but be a little rough. The loss is normal. Don't dirve the car. Figure this out. I bet the wires are a hole off on the distributor.
