I was changing the oil on my 2003 Explorer. It is 4WD. There was a couple of drops of transmission fluid showing so I went to check it. Service is often done in the shop so I have never checked it. I couldn't find a dipstick. Is there not one or am I just blind? If there is not one, how is it checked and filled? Thanks

There is no transmission dipstick on '02 -newer models. The transmission is "sealed". There is a service plug on the transmission that the Ford techs can open to check/fill if needed. If you have your owners manual, re-read the section on "general maintenance", there is a single sentence saying there is no transmission dipstick....
