I tried to use acpro to boost my ac because it's cool not cold. I followed all directions but when I plug it up it goes to the red. The compressor is coming on when I turn the AC on. I can see it spinning. I wanted ask if the low coolant light would have some affect on this? The coolant level is fine but someone told me it's the radiator level sensor causing the light to come on. I'm putting a new one on soon, but would that affect the acpro to go to red. If not what could it be? Thanks

Good morning,

No, they have nothing to do with it.

What is the pressure on the gauge?

What is the outside temperature?

In the middle of the red. Starts at 60 ends at 150. So I guess 105. Outside about 90 degrees.

That is high. The pressure should be at ambient temperature.

Check the diagram I sent you. Check the fuses for power on both sides with the key on.

Can you go to the relay and remove it and check for power on two terminals with the key on?

Okay, when you turn on the AC can you hear the relay click? Install the relay before doing this.

Can you hear it click? Trying to see if the PCM is grounding the control side of the relay.

Better, turn the key on, go under the hood to the relay and remove it. Then install it and see if it clicks.

Okay, the PCM is not grounding the control side.

Go to the pressure switch on the AC line and see if there is power in the connector.

On the dryer or the accumulator on the AC line. It is a three wire switch.
