Airbag light came on and stayed on?

We should run a CAN scan to see which codes are present, but I can tell you I have seen the spiral wire (clock spring) go bad and cause this problem. You can get a CAN scanner (Controller Area Network) which will work on most cars from Amazon.

Here is how to change out the spiral wire; the codes will not point this specifically, but it will give us the systems that have failed, helping us to confirm the failure. Here is how to change the part out and be sure to clear the codes once the repair is completed. Check out the images (below).
