Hello,
I have the vehicle listed above XLT FWD. i want to replace the factory
radio (called, ‘audio control module’ by ford) with a jvc kd – r420 radio
Cd player. This ACM is illuminated and run by a thin, flat component called a
Function control interface module. It also needs the sync
Connection to run (which i don’t need ). There are also two steering wheel
Control wires (also which i don’t need ). There is no external amp or sub
woofer.
I have located the 12v continuous, the ground wire, the 12v ‘in
Start only’ line, and all the speaker wires on the factory connector, but
There is no other illumination wire.
My JVC has the 2 12v wires, the ground wire, and the illumination wire.
How do i do this? preferably without buying an expensive adapter harness, also what to do about the illumination?
