Start by checking for a blown fuse inside the vehicle first, then in the under-hood fuse box. If you don't find one blown, I'll dig out a wiring diagram to see where to go next.

Ford has a whole bunch of variations for their wiring diagrams. Is your car a hybrid, and do you have a sunroof?

If you have a hybrid, double-check fuses 12 and 13 under the hood. If you don’t have a hybrid, those are numbers 2 and 3, also under the hood. If they’re both okay, the next suspect would be the “Smart Junction Box”, (SJB). That’s below the center of the dash. The insane engineers seem to think nothing will work without adding an unnecessary, unreliable computer to what used to be very simple and reliable circuits.

My laptop battery is dying. I'll be back tomorrow to see how you're doing.
