It's the display,we have a fleet and more of them don't work than ones that do.replacement is the only solution I have so far. CHeck the fuses. Here is a guide and thf use locations if okay replace the radio here is a video to walk you through the steps.

Either replace the radio or remove it and send it out for repair.

Just noticed the light on my radio display does not work. I can read everything in daytime, just no light at night. Dash lights work fine. Local dealership tried to sell me a new radio to the tune of $480.00. I told them no thanks! Any ideas on the problem? Aside from the light, radio, CD player, etc all work fine.

What I would suggest is taking it to an automotive stereo shop. Chances are there is a bulb that can be replaced behind the front cover.
Let me know what you find.

Joe,
Funny thing happened since I posted. It started working again. I pushed on the front of the display one night and all of a sudden the light came on. So I have not done anything since then. Sorry took so long to reply. I was having trouble getting logged in.
Thanks.

There is a light behind the face plate behind some of the factory radios. They burn out or in your case, it may have been loose.
Regardless, I'm glad it is fixed. If you have questions in the future, let us know.
Take care,
Joe

Ford radios do not require programming like other models. The radio actually has a few fuses. Does any functions such as back-lighting work? The radio might just have found a time and place to fail.

I have called the transmission shop that replaced it, they advised me to have it reprogrammed at ford dealership due to the fact that my interior lights don't come one or my fob keys don't lock my vehicle or radio doesn't have power, they said, it's a anti lock feature. I will be taking this vehicle in to get it reprogrammed again at ford dealership. Thanks :D

Hey there PHPAUTOS, I did get the technician to check it out quickly, but he said the fuses were ok.
