Hello experts,

The car listed above is a Touring model. Can someone please suggest, my car has Hankook Kingery 235/60r18 which is 18-inch size. Is it possible to upgrade to 19-inch or 20-inch size? If yes, then do I have to upgrade the wheel to 20-inch and get the tires size of 20-inch? What are the benefits of bigger wheel size in terms of mileage, speed etc? What are the disadvantages of upgrading from 18-inch to 20-inch?

Is this actually doable?

Thank you!

Hello,

Anytime you change the wheel diameter, the tires will have to be replaced with the correct size.
And yes, it is possible to go 19 or 20 inches for your vehicle.
Generally speaking, going larger on the wheel/tire setup are typically done for cosmetic purposes. When you have a larger wheel in order for the tire to maintain the same overall size you will need to be a thinner sidewall tire. Which will make the ride harsher. If the wheel/tire setup are not done properly the speedometer will be off as well. It can read high or low compared to the actual vehicle speed.
As for the mileage, if the replacement wheel/tire setup is heavier than the factory ones, then the mileage will be lower.

Let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
