Left to go inside then come back and car wouldn't' start?

For the past two days now my car has done this problem twice. It will just completely die. No JUICE at all. I thought maybe I left a light on or something. So I was looking at the battery and I came back to my car and when I opened my door the lights came on of the interior. My car started. Well it did it again last night. Same exact thing. Left to go inside then come back and car wouldnt' start. Wait a few mins and it started up again. I just checked the battery terminals and they had some acid build up. So I just cleaned those so I was wondering if that would be the problem or something more severe. Also when I drove home my auto theft light by my right kept beeping while I was driving. Hope this is enough details.

Hi Tonyp318,

Symptoms do indicate a possible loose or contaminated battery terminal connections. Were the terminals removed to be cleaned and retightened? Cleaning from outside would not be sufficient as the contacts could be bad and requires some brushing or sanding down.

The security beepng could be due to the power supply interruption and did you try disarming the system?

Close all doors and use the key to lock and open the front doors to see if it resets. If you have a keyless entry remote, ues it to disram and retest.
