Synthetic oil is expensive. Do I have to change the oil ever 3,000 miles with it as well?

Hi rossstilwill,

All oil companies will advise you to follow manufacturer's recommendation and at the same time claim their oil can last up to 3 or 4 times the recommended mileage.

The choice is yours. I personally don't use synthetic oils for my own vehicles. Mineral based and replace them at recommended mileage with no additives.
