So i threw a check engine light for a #4 cylinder misfire, so my first thought was to change the plugs(which i did) that didn't work, so then I replaced the ignition coil. The CEL went off but the car still had a bouncy idle, and now it came back on!!? Im tired of spending money any ideas?!!

Check compression to be sure the engine is mechanically good. Then use carb cleaner, spray around the intake manifold on #4 to see if it changes, if so the intake may be leaking causing the misfire(lean miss). If it doesnt change the idle when you spray and compression is good, it may have a bad injector. If so th eplug will be much lighter in color when compared to the others
