Noise problem are never easy to diagnose without the physical vehicle.
Symptom description seems to indicate one of the bearings is faulty. It could be the alternator, tensioner or AC compressor.
At initial start up, the engine is running at a higher rpm and when the idling speed drops, so does the noise. When you rev the engine, the noise is noticeable as the bearing is subjected to heavier loads and turning speed.
Get a rubber hose to use as sthetoscope and try to locate the source of the noise.
