I think it's malfunctioning, and I'd like to simply de-activate it rather than try to fix it. It's irritating to park in my driveway, carry some things inside, and come back out 2 minutes later, and the doors have locked on me. They've also locked 10 seconds after I've gotten out of my car and opened the rear hatch to remove some items, with the rear hatch still opened. Will I still be able to use my door clicker auto lock feature? I like to be able to lock my doors with my clicker, but I don't like it when the car does it all by itself without me clicking or pressing any button.

Hello,

The auto lock feature is a part of the anti theft system. Which is controlled by the body control module (BCM).
So, simply put, this cannot be disengaged or deactivated, at least not by any approved methods.

Also, that auto lock feature supposed to lock the vehicle (if unlocked by the key fob) after a few minutes of inactivity. However, if you unlock it by the key then this feature does not activates.
So, in order to not have the vehicle auto lock, simply use the key to lock and unlock the vehicle.

Please let me know of any questions.
Thank you.
