It's getting harder and harder to shift from gear to gear. Also, while I'm in a gear (let's say 1st gear) and the clutch is disengaged, it feels as though it isn't completely disengaged, like it's grinding, and the car shakes fairly violently. For right now it's on and off, but it has been getting worse over a couple of weeks. Just wondering if someone can pinpoint the problem and a solution.
Thanks

Hi kimcheelover,

If the clutch hydraulics and travel is ok, then most probably the clutch disc is faulty. Most probably the dampers have detached themselves from the disc, you need to have the clutch system checked.

Thank you for the reply. Is it possible to repair what's broken and not replace the entire clutch? Just trying to be cost efficient for it's an old car.

Hi kimcheelover,

That depends on the damage and wear.
