clutch?

Just bought a 93 Integra ls. When I go to put it in gear, there is total resistance and a whining noise..like something is spinning against something. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do you mean you are not able to engage any gears?
Does problem occurs when shifting into all gears with engine off?
Is clutch pedal pressure felt at high or low pedal height?
