Just bought this car. When your driving or turning even the front passenger side makes a squeaking noise. The shocks/struts are blown and need replacing I already know that. Would a blown shock/strut be making this noise or is it a control arm bushing or the whole control arm needing replacement? Also while idleing at a stop the whole dash board vibrates. The idle is at about 800RPM so its at the correct idle. Any idea why this would happen?

Hi mesaredhead84,

Thank you for the donation.

If the squeaking noise ocurs when turning the steering even at a stop, then it would not be from the struts. The most likely cause would be the lower arm ball joints, steering rack end or tie-rod ends.

If the squeaking noise is only when moving, then the struts could be the cause.

The vibration at idling should be caused by bad engine mounts.
