2001 Acura CL Removal of change tray (on front dash)

The red cardboard velvet lined change tray is stuck open, probably coins shifted back and prevents it from closing properly.

How to remove tray to remove items blocking proper closure? No books on this model so I don't have any diagrams to help.

it's a lengthy procedure for the inexperienced coz you are going to have to remove the whole bottom of the center console.
instead try to reach underneath it by removing the the cover for the dlc connector.right below the tray is a plastic door that easily pulls out.you should be able to fish out a few coins with your fingers and loosen the cover.
