Hi,
Does it seem as though the transmission is slipping or anything like that? If not, is the check engine light staying on when the engine is running?
When I hear power loss, the first thing I suspect are low fuel pressure or a partially plugged catalytic converter. Has any of that been checked? Also, once you get up to speed, does it run normally?
If the check engine light stays on with the engine running, you need to scan the computer for diagnostic trouble codes. Here is a quick video showing how it's done:

I realize not everyone has a scanner, but often times, a parts store will scan it for you at no charge.
Next, take a look through this link. It explains the common symptoms of a catalytic converter issue. See if the things discussed mirror what you experience.

Here is a link which explains how one is tested:

One last thing is fuel pressure. Here is a link that explains how in general it is tested:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.
Take care,
Joe
