I've recently replaced variable timing solenoid, spark plugs, valve cover gaskets, and vias control solenoid and canister. I put everything back together, crank the car and now when i press the gas pedal nothing happens, absolutely nothing. Can someone please point me in the right direction as to what might be the problem now?

Hello, it sounds like the car is in Limp Mode which is a reduced power mode due to an issue the engine control module is seeing, this can also happen with the ABS module, but since you just worked on the vehicle, we will assume it has something to do with the repairs. You didn't have this issue before working on the vehicle, correct?
I think you should scan the vehicle for any diagnostic trouble codes. Is the Check engine light on or ABS light? any lights that were not on previously?
And when you say the vias control solenoid, are meaning the Purge valve in the engine compartment of the vent valve back near the gas tank? Did the canister come with a new vent valve?
