Dear Sir

I have the car listed above with a V6. From a week my car AC providing cold air and some time hot air while the compressor is working and spinning when AC is on and AC gas is full. I checked with mechanics they suggest to change the compressor but I know there is something other.

HI and thanks for using 2CarPros.com.

If the compressor is bad, it can be identified by the high and low side pressure readings. Here is a link that shows how AC manifold gauges are used:

If the Freon level was checked, they should know the readings. If you can get that to me, I will have a better idea what is happening.

If we find the compressor and system is working properly, then I suspect there may be an issue with the blend air door. This door is part of the duct work under the dash. In one position, it allows cool air to enter the cabin and the other position, it allows heat to enter. Take a look at this link.

Although the above link discusses replacement of the actuator, it explains the component's purpose and how it works.

Here is the explanation from Alldata of the component. The two pictures below show locations.

Let me know if you can get the pressure readings so I can review them. There is a chance that the orifice tube is plugging and causing an issue. However, in most cases, when they are dirty, everything stops working. Let me know if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe
