The A/C just stopped blowing cold air the next day without warning?

I placed a can of 134a with a gauge on the low-pressure port. The gauge read 35 and the color indicated the system was “Filled”. The low-pressure line was ice cold to the touch. The compressor pulley was turning, and the car’s rpm changed when the A/C was turned on (like the other times, nothing unusual).

A couple of months ago the drain plug was clogged to the point we could hear the condensation hit the coil fan when turning left (or right, I don’t remember). Cold air continued to come out before and after the drain plug was cleared.

Thanks for your help.

So, is there air coming out of the vents just not cold or is there no air from the vents? If no air is coming out, then 9 times out of 10 the blower motor has gone bad, but this guide can help you test the power and ground to confirm the issue also, I have included the blower motor location in the images below.

If the air is coming out of the vents okay, then the temperature control actuator is having a problem here is how to replace it and calibrate it.

Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what you find. We are interested to see what it is.

Hello,

Thank you for the reply, the air does come out of the vents, and you can hear the change in tone when the A/C is turned on. Still no cold air, just warm air. Fan Switch works just fine and can control fan speed.

Hello,

I replaced the blend door actuator, and it fixed the problem. I have cold air in the cabin again. I pulled out the cabin air filter while working in the area and discovered a mouse had moved in and buried the filter with insulation. I cleaned it all up, including the blower motor. I now have cold air coming out at a faster rate. Thank you for your help.
