I had the ABS light and the parking brake light on. Changed out the ABS module now just the ABS light is on I think it needs a wheel speed sensor.

The ABS light will run through a self check each time you turn the key on so if the code is no longer active then the light will turn off. So if the ABS light is still on then it is picking up an active code. So we need to scan the module for what codes are in it and then figure out what is wrong.

There is a chance that the module you installed has a different issue but we need to scan the codes and try to clear them if they are not active.

Everytime I hit the gas to go my traction becomes active and my car won't move. I have to turn the traction off just to go forward and now its starting to do it even when the traction is off. And my ABS light is on too. Can you tell me what might be the problem.

It sounds like you may have a wheel speed sensor that is out. These videos will help us find the problem.

Since my mechanic replaced the brakes last year, the ABX and Brake light come on after I've been driving for a while and the car heats up or I've been driving, stop the car for a quick stop and turn it back on then the lights are on. Sometimes I can reset the lights by turning the car off and waiting. I recently took it in because the brake alarm was sounding on the right rear brake. The mechanic said the the brake shims failed and he replaced both rear brakes since the were under warranty--I paid labor. He then informed me that if the ABS and Brake lights come on that I had to get the electric brake module replaced for $1,100 part plus labor. Coule there be another problem to look at first?

These brake pressure modulator valves are common to go bad but there are a few things to check first. There is a ground on the drivers frame rail that is usually causing this. Also what codes do you have? ***You do have the option of unplugging the abs unit and just use regular conventional brakes, its perfectly safe.
