While adhering to instructions, I applied refrigerant to the A/C system one summer, yet for some reason now the blower only activates on the 4th or highest setting. It does not matter if the A/C or heater is utilized, it will not turn on the first 3 settings.

Hi,

If the blower motor only works on the high setting, chances are the blower motor resister has failed.

The blower motor resistor is under the dash on the passenger side, below the blower motor. (See pic below) Try replacing that and let me know if that resolves the issue.

Take care,

joe

I took it to a shop nearby where they confirmed the issue being the blower motor resistor. Jacob and Nickolas, Thanks for the help.

Hi,

You are very welcome and thank you for the update. Anytime a blower only works on high, that is almost always the cause. Hi-speed receives full power, so there is no resistance involved. However, the slower speeds have to go through the resister to cut power and slow the motor. (If that makes sense) LOL

You take care of yourself and feel free to come back anytime in the future.

Joe
