I have a broken shader valve in the service port, and can't get it out. The service port is located on the line, and was wondering how to go about removing it so I can put a new one on to fix my A/C problem?

Good morning,

Did you try the tool for removal? It looks like the tool that removes the center of a tire valve.

Are the ears broken off that grab the valve for removal?

Yes, I bought the tool for that specific purpose, but found that the top of the valve itself is completely flat, and the tool can't turn it to remove it. So I did some online searching, and found that they make the service port, and they can be replaced, but not sure how to go about doing that. No regular socket or wrench will work since the service port is a weird size.

Okay, here are 2 pictures I took off the internet. The service port is what I would like to remove and replace, and the shrader valve is what is broken off inside the service port. There is no plunger on it and is completely flat so no tool can be put on it to take it out. Can the service port actually be removed and replace since it is on the service line? Hope this helps

If you can't get the valve out you will need to replace the line.
