A/C is cold but not blowing through vents in front?

Hello!

I have the car listed above with a 4 cylinder. My A/C in the front will not blow out of the vents. The little bit that does come out is cold and the fan seems to be blowing hard. Just no force from vents. The vents in the back seat work great and blow cold. I’ve researched and thought maybe it’s one of the actuators or a blend door. The problem is I haven’t found any info on which actuator it actually is, as there is more than one. So which controls this? I understand there is a left and right. Any help or info would be great. Thanks!

Hi,

The airflow direction is controlled by a mode door actuator. That is what changes the airflow direction.

Now, the vehicle could have automatic climate control or manual. I went with the manual, so the following is based on that. If you do have automatic climate control, let me know.

The first pic shows the mode door actuator location which is up under the dash. Pic 2 is the very basic directions for the actuator itself. However, to access it, you need to take a few things apart. Starting with pic 3, I attached those directions.

Let me know if this helps or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe

Thanks, Joe! I'm assuming this is all on the drivers side from the pictures?

Hi,

You are very welcome. As far as your question is concerned, I believe you are correct. The manual indicates removing the lower panel on the left side, so that would make sense.

Let me know how things work out for you or if you have questions.

Take care,

Joe
