A/C compressor not working checked voltage going into compressor.063V. Could it be temperature control switch?
Thanks for your help.

Take a look at the wiring diagram. We need to jump the relay to the control circuit so that we can see if the compressor even comes on. If it does and the systems starts blowing cool then we know either the relay or wiring is the issue. Clearly make sure where you are jumping the relay from has 12 volts. So just check the voltage and then use a paper clip to touch the terminals with the engine and A/C on and see if the compressor comes on.

Thanks for the fast response appreciate it. Jumped terminals, comp did nothing.I noticed comp switch at temperature controls won't turn off unless you turn the fan off. Its not right, is it?
Thanks again for the help.

It doesn't sound like that is an issue however, I am not be understanding what is happening. Maybe get a video of what you are seeing.

However, I doubt it will cause the compressor issue. Just to make sure you were jumping it with 12 volts. If you didn't have 12 volts on the wire you were jumping from then that would be a different issue because at this point, it sounds like the compressor is the issue. However, if you didn't have 12 volts on the wire you were using to jump to the compressor then that would be a fuse or wiring issue.

I'm with you. I did get 12V on one(hot@all time), 12V on another when A/C switch on, but why I'm only getting 0.63V at the comp?I, m going to check circuit, relay and diode for continuity.
Appreciate your support and input.

This is what I was talking about, the temperature control switch. Not an issue at this time, but it will be eventually.

I get it. However, try turning the other knob off of MAX and see if the compressor button will turn on and off. Normally when you select MAX it defaults the compressor on. If this does not change anything then the control panel is most likely the cause of that.

As for why you only have less then 1 volt at the compressor I think you are exactly correct. If you have 12 volts coming out of the relay at spot number 1 on the wiring diagram and have less then a volt at the compressor, then you have a wiring issue or a problem with that diode.

I checked circuit for continuity. Got 0.0, The circuit is fine. Plugged the relay back on, no voltage. So the relay is bad. And probably the comp as well.I jumped the terminals and recharged the system to 50 psi and comp won't kick in.
Thanks again for your input. Greatly appreciated.

Agreed. The relay sounds like the issue as for not getting power to the compressor. As for the compressor not kicking on, if you are getting 12 volts to the compressor now and it still doesn't come on, then the compressor is most likely the issue.

Thanks for the update.

Yes, SIr. Agreed about the temperature control you're absolutely right. I turned the knob as suggested, it worked. So I have to do the comp. And relay.
Thanks for your input and help. Greatly appreciated.

Sounds great. Glad you got the A/C button issue figured out. Let us know what happens after the repairs as that confirmation of it being repaired would surely help others that may visit this site.

Thanks for the update. We will wait to hear back from you. Thanks

Hey buddy, I just dropped the compressor and noticed some metal shavings. I guess it must be from compressor. Need to flush system. Is nitrogen still used to flush system and leak detection?
Thanks for your help and input.

You can but they make a chemical that will work as well. Here is a video that runs through this. However, you need a compressor, accumulator/dryer and maybe condenser as well. Basically anything that could have metal in it needs replaced or flushed. Clearly the lines will all be flushed but you cannot flush the compressor or accumulator.

Let me know if you need more info. Thanks
