Hi, I never saw the old compressor (car came with bypass pulley). Just got a new Delphi air conditioner compressor from Autozone model #cs0052. The instructions say this model compressor is appropriate for "switch" or "no switch" applications, but with not having the old compressor to see what may have been attached to it, I do not know if the new one requires the high-pressure cut out switch for my make and model car. If my car required it, would it be included with the new compressor? Please let me know if I need to install this switch (and anything else) onto the compressor. Any other tips or instructions you could provide regarding installation would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Make sure it has oil if not it must be added, then due to system being open for an extended period it must have drier and evacuated for at least thirty minutes with a Freon sweep after install. You have no high pressure switch on compressor. Just relays and switch. See picture.

Okay thank you. When you say" just relays and switch" are you referring to the cycling switch? So I can go ahead and install the compressor just as it is right out of the box without having to add anything else to it ( except checking for proper oil fill)?

Yes as long as it has oil in it. Also when doing evacuation do a Freon sweep at about fifteen minutes of evacuation put Freon in system then take it out then re evacuate

Okay, can you tell me if the part in the link below belongs on this car somewhere or if this part is already mounted inside of my compressor? AutoZone website has this part listed as a part that fits this car and I guess it must go somewhere. thanks again.

As stated in previous reply the wiring diagram does not show that part and every compressor that I have looked at does not have any hole in back where it would go to install it.
