How did you recharge it?
How long did it not work?
Is the compressor engaging?
What are the low and high side pressures at what outside temperature.
Is the condenser fan coming on when you turn on the AC?
If you select hot/cold do you feel any change or hear the blend door move?

My suspicion is that the problem isn't the AC charge but elsewhere like a failed blend/temperature actuator.
