The 700r4 4 pin electrical plug on the side of the transmission that was in my truck has been replaced with a "4l60" not the E and it has a 5 pin electrical plugin. Is it possible to make the 4l60 not E transmission work by taking the A from the 4 pin and putting it in the 4l60 5 pin A position and then go to the B and D wires and do the same not using the C and E on the 5 pin?

Good morning,

No, the only way it will work is if you change the valve body from your old transmission to the donor transmission. There is no jumping or adapting for this control.

It is either that or get the correct transmission for the truck.

What year did the donor transmission come out of?

I believe it came out of a 1993 Camaro. So what would I have to do exactly in the swap of valve bodies? I haven't messed with the internals of a transmission much but I can rebuild motors and I have worked on CNC machines so I'm not beginner, but yes I am. Your help would be much appreciated. Thank you for your time.

The 5 pin is an electronic transmission. I attached a wire diagram to show you the wires for your pins.

I would get another transmission. Changing valve bodies will not solve it.
