So this can be because you have an exhaust leak, vacuum leak or one of the fuel injectors is leaking, how does the engine seem to run? If okay let's replace the oxygen sensor and then clear the codes.

P014F - O2 Sensor Delayed Response - Rich to Lean (Bank 2, Sensor 1)

P014E - O2 Sensor Delayed Response - Lean to Rich (Bank 2, Sensor 1)

Here is the location of the sensor. Check out the images (below). Please let us know what happens.

Okay, funny that you say possible exhaust leak. Recently my car has been making a noise, a noise that you can hear if you're inside the car only. The best way to describe it is it sounds like an old diesel car idling, not very loud but loud enough that it bugs me. I don’t know why you can’t hear on the outside of the car, weird! I don’t think my car is driving different I haven’t noticed. How would I know if there’s a leak somewhere or in one of the injectors? Thanks

For a vacuum leak the best way is using a smoke machine. But you can use car b cleaner when the engine is cold, which works as well. please go over this guide:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-an-engine-vacuum-gauge

For the fuel injector test you can remove the injectors for testing, this guide can help with that as well:

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-test-a-fuel-injector

As for the exhaust leak you will need to do an inspection while the engine is running to see if you can locate the noise origin. Please upload pictures or videos in your response of any problems so we can see what to help you with.

Hi, I appreciate your help, I am going to try and get this figured out now, so just to be clear you said I should start by replacing the sensor, correct? Is it only one sensor, and in the photos, you sent the second picture looks like the location is on the top near the dip stick, but the other picture looks like it’s underneath the car? I’m sorry. I also wanted to add that with a bad sensor could this change the driving performance? Lately I feel like sometimes at take-off the car is like vibrating and maybe not going as fast as before?

Glad to see you back, we need to know if the engine has an exhaust leak. Did you get that fixed? Can you upload a short video of the noise from under the hood so I can hear it? If it is not an exhaust leak here are the locations of the sensors you need to replace (post above), and then clear the codes once completed. Let me know how it goes.

Is there just one sensor that should be replaced or is there 2? One in the top of the car near the dip stick and one underneath the car too? By any chance do you know the part numbers I’m afraid I’ll order the wrong ones. I’ve attached a video of the noise, hopefully you can hear it.

Thanks for the video. It does not sound like a large exhaust leak so I would replace the sensor and then clear the codes, and this will cause the engine to perform as it should.

Here are the part numbers as requested:

Denso: Part number 234-9135
Bosch: Part number 18133
NTK: Part number 24783

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for the reply. I’m so sorry but both of the codes are for the same sensor, correct?

Thanks

Also. You said.

“ I would replace the sensor and then clear the codes, and this will cause the engine to not perform as it should”

Changing the sensor will cause my engine to NOT?

Or it will cause my engine to perform as it should?

Typo?
