Im decatting my exhaust and increasing the diameter of my exhast pipes from the engine all the way to the back box. But my problem is that alot of people are suggesting I do an ECU remap. Will decatting my wrx sti really require a remap ofy ecu? Is it neccessary? I also have a dump valve I stalled, if that helps. Im not very clued up on car mods, I just want my exhaust at it loudest, and for my turbo to breathe more freely. These mods are not illegal in my country

Removing the cats will void any warranty. Also, it will send the computer into a loop. The engine will not run correctly because there will be no true O2 reading from the exhaust. As a result, the check engine light will come on and the air fuel ratio to the engine will be totally off. Most likely, it will run in a closed loop at max richness. We only recommend direct fit / OEM type repairs.
