All of the dashboard lights come on when I start the car and they stay on. Every thing from the abs light to the check engine light comes on and doesnt go off until the vehicle is shut off. Any info on what would cause this would be helpful.

Hello,

It sounds like you have a fuse out, here are some guides and diagrams so you can do a simple test.

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-check-a-car-fuse

and

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/how-to-use-a-test-light-circuit-tester

If the fuses are good test for power and ground at the cluster. If everything checks out then the cluster is bad and needs replacement.

Please let us know what happens.

Cheers, Ken

Hi,

I have a 1996 Ford Fiesta 1.3 Ghia and an orange light has appeared at the bottom of the dashboard. It is square in shape and inside looks like a square water barrell with two sets of wavey lines. Can you please help!

Hi, dashboard lights have started to come on when I am going downhill or brake hard. I am guessing it is a lose connection. Any idea where to start looking for it?
All lights, light switches and dials operate normally still.

Check for a loose ground kind of sounds like it. However, we do not have any information for that year as they were not in US until 2011.

It would be the same thing or maybe a bad multi functions switch. But, as we do not have any information on this car this is all I can offer for suggestions.

There is a small 7.5 amp fuse in the fuse box only hot when headlight switch is on. Check that

otherwise the headlight switch may be at fault

When I drive the car over 100km speed using fifth gear for more than 20 mins I quite suddenly just lose power. I get dash symbols on my dashboard then a hose light and a battery light. So I then pull over turn engine off rest for five mins it then seems to correct itself and I can drive again. However it will often happen again within 5/10 mins. But each time after I've given it a rest it seems to correct itself and I can then drive again.
My speedo will often drop to zero while I'm driving so I don't know what my speed is. This happens often.
Please help.

Scan for codes and check fuelpressure with a gauge. A tool you can usually rent.
