I have the truck listed above 4x4 and want to lower it 2-3 inches in the front and back. Does anyone know of a way to do this? Any Kits at all? I know DJM Suspension makes one for 2WD. Its very hard for me to get in and out of my truck. Thanks

Hi,

With this vehicle, it will be very difficult and not recommended. The biggest problem will be with the rear suspension. The leaf springs are not something that can be lowered other than finding a different, shorter shackle or mounting them reversed on the axle which weakens them and lessens the amount of weight that can be carried. Also, shocks would need replaced and special hardware required to modify the shackle. (see pic 1) As far as the front, people cut coils to make a vehicle lower, but again, it is not recommended on this type of vehicle.

I wish I had an easy solution, but there really isn't one without modifying key components which make this a heavy duty truck.

Take care and let me know if you have other questions.
