Is there a problem with my transmission (auto) on 2011 Nisssan Xterra?

I recently purchased a 2011 Xterra (4wd). All was well with the transmission and acceleration until recently when I observed the following:

1. Slowly accelerating from a standing start I have noticed the transmission does not feel as smooth as it should. The best way to describe it is a little******. It feels like an old car with a carburetter that has a flat spot until you you give it more gas then it will get up and go.

2. I can also hear the exhaust tone. This appears as though it changes with the speed I am travelling. It's as if there is a certain frequency when I can hear it.

I hope I have described the above issues so that you can get the gist of the problem?

I have just over 2000 miles on the vehicle and intend to take the vehicle to the dealership, but wanted your input before I make that move.

Any help on the above issues would be appreciated.

Thanks,

I would start with a scan for any unresolved transmission fault codes, check the oil level and condition, failing this, it will have to be tested by a transmission specialist as pressure readings will have to be taken along with checking shift patterns for further diagnosis.
