I am turning the key to start to engine on my 2011 Ford F250 6.7L diesel and it turns over like im bumping the ignition. the engines doesnt actually turn over and if i hold the key, it just keeps "bumping" the engine. Both batteries volt readings are 12.2v and no warnings appear on the dash. I want to note that this is the first morning that i would need the glow plugs since it was in the 50s last night. Im not sure if there is a problem with the glow plugs and the engine is not allowing the engine to turn over since the temp hasnt raised. any help would save me a tow to the dealership

Get someone to help you crank the engine and hold the ignition switch to the cranking position while you check the battery voltage then. If any is below 10.5 v at that moment, that means the battery is not in good condition. Batteries can read more than 12 v but while cranking, it might drop below the required level.
