2009 Dodge Ram check engine light

My light turned on when I filled the tank and my friend was revving it then it shut off when the tank got about half way but I went to fill it up again and the light came back on I've tried unplugging the battery for a few minutes and had a mechanic reset the codes I just remember the mechanic saying something about vapor what could It be

either your gas cap wasn't tight which requires at least 3 clicks when putting in fuel or the evap canister solenoid is bad or there is a small leak.
