During a 900+ mile trip from the desert to the ocean and back water dripped from the dash onto the passenger's side floor and we began to hear a "hissing or swishing" sound from the vicinity of the air conditioner during hard turns. I have looked into the drain pipe from under the car and have taken out the glove compartment and removed the covers from the ac unit until I can see the fan but so far see nothing obviously wrong.

Sounds like the ac drain is clogged and the ac box is over flowing.I have seen that happen many times on many different kinds of cars.

You can try bending a metal coat hanger and try using that or some bailing wire. Let me know how you make out.

Didn't have any success working from under the car. I was able to pull back the carpet to find the rubber hose from the AC through the firewall. I pulled it off the AC housing, ran a semi-flexible plastic tube in both directions and reconnected it. I must have moved the clog because no water has appeared on the passenger compartment floor since. Thanks for your advise and encouragement. How are you funded? Can I make a donation?
