When I come to stop the car will jerk forward. The light that tells you the roads are slippery even come on when it jerks forward as I'm about to come to a complete stop. It will jerk forward when it is switiching from engine to battery but it will also do it while it is running on the engine. It doesn't either way but not all the time. But it is happening more frequently now.

If the check engine light has come on, have the computer scanned for trouble codes. If not, you need to have the ABS sensors checked. It sounds like the vehicle thinks it is skidding when it really isn't.

Okay. Thanks. Because when it jerks forward it does move and that is when the lights come on. What could be making the car jerk when pressing on the brakes to stop?

I don't know why, but this just showed up in my mail. Sorry it has been so long. Have you had any luck with the issue?
