2008 Dodge Caliber backfire

I have a dodge caliber that had a rough idle I cleaned the fuel system and when I went to start it back up it revved up on it's own and now it is idling really rough and backfire thru the air box and I have to stand on the brakes I checked the check engine light that came on and it said ignition coil I checked all 4 coil packs nothing changed when I took off number 3 so I replaced it and the plug but it is still doing it I don't know what else to do please help.

I would recommend checking for vacuum leaks and the idle air control valve (IAC). The IAC is responsible for maintaining the engine idle speed. As far as the #3 cylinder, if you remove the coil to it, nothing happens? Does the engine start to misfire?

When I remove the coil on 3 the idel dose not get any worse but when I rempve 1 2 or 4 it dose I checked for vacume leaks and cant find anything

That tells me that #3 cylinder is not firing. Have you checked the plug? Have you checked for spark at the plug? If you have spark, have you checked the injector? If it is good, have you checked compression in that cylinder?
