2008 Chevrolet Impala Sputters, starting issues

When car is cold and hasn't ran for a few hours the car turns over and seems to me like it's not getting enough fuel. It starts and sputters until it quits. It will do this several times before starting. If I push the gas to the floor (I know I shouldn't in a few injected car) and turn the ignition it will start. What could be causing this issue?

Have you got a scan tool for pulling codes. I could be the thorttle body is bad (electronic) not that uncommon, or even the gas pedal. Try removing the throttle body and cleaning both sides of it.
