My vehicle is the LTZ model. So this vehicle was purchase at a auction that apparently has engine and transmission problems. It was reading that the oil pressure was low and to stop engine immediately. The seller rebuilt the engine and replace the oil pump. When starting the the truck now it is reading it has no oil pressure. Please tell me what can cause it to fail even after these parts where replace because the mechanic does not have a clue?

Have you hooked up an actual oil pressure tester to read the pressure yet? You would need to remove the oil pressure switch and install a manual gauge to check the pressure. Let us know what the exact reading is on that gauge.

As JIS001 says, you need to check the actual pressure. An engine with no oil pressure will normally knock and rattle like crazy. A bad sender or bad wiring to the sender could be the problem.
