It sounds like you might be having an issue with the idle control actuator. Here is a tutorial showing how to replace an idle air motor which is similar:

I've attached picture steps below on how to gain access to the idle air actuator including its location. When you see the picture you will also notice the cylinder firing order. cylinder 1 is far left, cylinder 2, cylinder 3, and cylinder 4 is on the right. Hope this helps and thanks for using 2CarPros.
