enter your question...Headlights dim when I turn on the heater fan at idle. Also, they seem to dim a little at a stop. Just noticed it tonight. Could that be a battery problem, an alternator problem or something else. This is a 2007 PT Cruiser with only 25,000 miles.

First check the alternator charge rate, have the battery load tested and check that all battery terminals are making a clean and tight contact to the posts, start here.

I wouldn't be real surprised if you find no problem. It's not terribly unusual to see symptoms like that at idle. Sometimes the RPMs just aren't sufficient to keep up with the load.
