Car has been normal, I used the remote start and car will not shift out of park. I turned car off and started normal and still will not shift out of park. I disconnected the car 12V battery from + & - and car starts as normal, but will not shift. I push on my breaks and shifter moves a little, If I do not push on the break the shifter moves less.

The park lock solenoid is powered by the brake light switch. When you push on the brake and the brake lights turn on, power is also sent to the solenoid to release the shifter. First, check to make sure the brake lights are working. If they aren't, check fuses and check the brake light switch. If they are working, you need to access the park release solenoid and check if it is getting power. If it is, then the solenoid needs replaced. If there is no power, you will have to trace the power supply back to the brake light switch to see where power is lost.
