2006 Saturn Ion Car Engine Light Came On Now Idling Rough Just Changed Oil

My car engine light came on and is now idling rough. I just changed the oil, spark plugs, air filter but my battery is pretty bad. I dont know why the light is on and idles rough? Super worried because I need to smog it.

Was the check engine light on before changing the spark plugs? Have the computer scanned for codes and let me know the exact code numbers not code descriptions? What's wrong with your battery?
