2006 Nissan Pathfinder oil pressure

Engine died while going about 20mph. It started right up and my oil gauge maxed out. At idle the needle is midrange on the gauge but it goes high as soon as I start driving. I turn the key and with the engine off the needle will at the mid point on the gauge. .

it might be the gauge is screwed up check it with a manual pressure gauge. oil pressure will go up off of idle so don't be to alarmed.

forgot as long as you are not blowing the seal off of filter you are ok
