2006 Hyundai Santa Fe Car Slows Down Junction Example Push Accelerator Speed

When my car slows down (at a junction for example) and I push the accelerator to speed up again there is no power, just before the car does does burst back into life dark smoke comes out of the exhaust with a strange smell.

I have had the fuel filter changed and took my car for a long drive - the engine check light wasn't on but it is now. The car was checked for faults and code u0001 p came up.

U0001 - CAN bus off. Seems you have a communication fault between the computers and it could be a faulty control unit or loose wiring circuits.

A scan tool would be needed to perform diagnostics and testings.
