The passenger side mirror glass is cracked and I need to change it.
The power mirror function still works along with everything else.
I just need to put new glass on the base.

Finding the replacement glass was easy, but there are 2 different choices for my car (ZX4 SES). A 7 1/2 inch glass and a 7 9/16 inch glass. The dimensions are so close that tape measuring the factory glass is not helping. Is there some way to tell which size glass to purchase?

The only thing you can do is measure it. A 16" is small, but take your time and you should be fine. As far as replacing, the glass is held on by a strip adhesive. You should be able to get it where you get the glass.
