5.7ltre engine bad miss in drivers side bank 2nd cylinder from front of engine. Compression test showed 0 psi compression. At 1st it had a loud knocking noise from engine and I isolated cylinder by disconnecting 1 coil pack at a time all other cylinders when disconnected made engine faulter except the cylinder in question. After compression test I re started engine still was missing but loud knocking noise gone

Hi Roy I removed the drivers side tappet cover and visually inspected rockers and shafts and rocker pedistals all push rods apeared to be in position I cranked engine and everything looked to be moving and their was plenty of oil coming from galleries is it possible a MDS solenoid could have something to do with problem. I also removed plugs and turned engine over by hand while watching piston with a small remote camera / light tool and made certain piston was travelling up and down I thought after hearing knock it may have a brocken piston at ring land

The next step would be to inject air into the cylinder and listen for the leakage.
